Practical Hands On

Two days of learning 5-Sense Responses, Alert Response Training Tool, and being a better Chiropractor.

Monday Morning WOW

Develop an awareness of key adaptive responses. Gain further insight into your patients.

Jeff Rockwell, D.C. - Author, former Professor of Philosophy and Clinical Sciences, Parker College of Chiropractic

"As a chiropractic practitioner and educator for the past 25 years, I have taken many, many seminars and classes over the years. Of them all, Dr. Ric Wiegand's Access Workshop has proven to be the most helpful and empowering. Access has given me, and others, the ability to rapidly assess patients, effortlessly helping to locate subluxations, as well as determine what technique or style of force application to use."

A contemporary fusion...

The Access Workshop blends new advances in sensory neuroscience with somatic assessment strategies.
An updated understanding of how subtle perception works helps practitioners
to rapidly develop new skills.

The Access Workshop

How does your nervous system respond when you assess a patient?

Many practitioners pay attention to key responses that a patient’s nervous system produces at dysfunctional areas. Only a limited number of exceptional practitioners pay skillful attention to key responses that their own nervous system produces at dysfunctional areas.

Key responses a patient’s

nervous system commonly

produces:

Pain/Tenderness

Increased Tension

Restricted Motion

Biomechanical

Key responses a

practitioner’s nervous

system innately produces:

5-Sense Responses

CAN* CAN* Responses Responses

Arousal

Automonic

Affective- motivational

*Central Autonomic Network

The fact is your nervous system produces conventional ‘5-sense’ sensations for just a limited amount of information it detects about a patient. Comparatively, it produces CAN responses for most of the information it detects.

Some exceptional practitioners develop their awareness of select CAN responses, which their nervous system produces when it detects ‘biologically significant’ changes in physiology. Proficient awareness of CAN responses (i.e., interoception) enables a practitioner to perceive valuable information that conventional methods of assessment don’t provide about a patient. The unique clinical insights that interoception delivers can help most practitioners to produce great results more consistently.

In the past, relatively few practitioners were able to develop this high-value skill set. Fortunately, recent advances in neuroscience provide a road map that demystifies interoception. The Access Workshop provides a science-based approach for developing clinically useful interoceptive skills in a weekend course.

Do you get amazing results some of the time and other times things just don’t resolve? Are you ever uncertain as to which is really the best area to address, and which areas would be better off left alone? Have you ever stared at a patient’s/client’s folder and wondered what to do next?

Most practitioners say yes to these questions. Although they produce great results some of the time, oftentimes they don’t.

There is a process that can reliably help produce great results more consistently. The fact is a small percent of exceptional practitioners pay attention to subtle shifts that take place in their own physiology when they assess a patient. These internal responses provide unique clinical insights that enhance clinical certainty and help produce positive outcomes more consistently.

A contemporary fusion… The Access Workshop integrates contemporary research that advances an interoceptive assessment approach in practice. Understanding how subtle internal processes work helps to accelerate skill development and it provides evidence-based insights that promote open-ended development.

A practitioner’s nervous system produces a variety of sensory, motor and CAN / central autonomic network responses when it detects changes in a patient’s physiology. Practitioners often pay attention to select sensory responses when they assess a patient, e.g., touch sensations, and overlook the CAN responses their nervous system produces.

Contemporary science conclusively shows that CAN responses provide vital insights that other responses do not provide. If a practitioner overlooks key CAN responses that their nervous system produces, they will miss-out on significant clinical insights. Additional CAN insights commonly enhance clinical certainty and the ability to produce positive outcomes more consistently.

Enhancing awareness of CAN responses requires a unique set of attention skills. These can be learned, but they are quite different from the skills that help enhance awareness of conventional sensory responses. The Access Workshop presents proven, science-based strategies that reliably enhance awareness of key CAN responses. The workshop enables practitioners to bypass extensive ‘trial and error’ learning curves and to start experiencing the benefits of enhanced CAN perception

in their practice.

What Our Chiropractors Say

I want to again thank you for giving to the chiropractic profession the best adjusting instrument ever built. The ArthroStim® is many steps ahead of the competition. Keep up the great work.

Dr. W. C

I am a doctor of Chiropractic in Ohio . I have been using the ArthroStim® for over 5 years and love the results and the instrument. Both instruments have lasted for all these years…other instruments my friends are using have been replaced many times in a short period of time, but not my ArthroStim®!!
